Canada Issues 4,000 Express Entry Invitations to Healthcare Candidates in June 25 Draw

OTTAWA — Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada issued 4,000 invitations to apply for permanent residence on June 25, 2026, targeting candidates in healthcare and social services occupations.

The department said the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score for the category-based round was 475. The draw was held at 13:51:43 UTC.

The round continues Ottawa’s focus on workers in sectors with persistent labor shortages, according to IRCC. Candidates have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence, which IRCC says is typically processed within the six-month service standard.

Key Development / Background

This was the second Healthcare and Social Services category draw of 2026, according to IRCC. The first healthcare round this year was on February 20 and also issued 4,000 invitations with a CRS cut-off of 467.

The June 25 draw was the 34th Express Entry round of 2026 and the 422nd overall since the system launched in January 2015, IRCC data shows.

The tie-breaking rule was set at May 21, 2026 at 12:14:09 UTC. IRCC said that if more than one candidate held the minimum score of 475, only those who submitted Express Entry profiles before that date and time received invitations.

Official Response / Reactions

IRCC said the category-based selection allows it to invite candidates to meet an identified economic goal, including work experience in specific occupations.

The department has not issued a separate statement on the June 25 round beyond the published rounds of invitations bulletin.

What's Next / Context

Candidates who received an ITA must submit a complete electronic application for permanent residence within 60 days, IRCC said.

The June 25 draw followed three other rounds in the same week: a Physicians with Canadian Work Experience draw on June 24, a Canadian Experience Class draw on June 23, and a Provincial Nominee Program draw on June 22, according to draw records.

IRCC has now conducted two Healthcare and Social Services draws, two Physicians draws, 12 Provincial Nominee Program draws, 10 Canadian Experience Class draws, and six French-language proficiency draws in 2026, the records show.
